Nebraska Furniture Mart operates North America’s largest volume home furnishings stores. For more than 80 years, NFM has delivered legendary selection, outstanding service, and low prices in furniture, flooring, appliances and electronics. Featuring innovative, entertaining and exciting stores, NFM has been indispensable to generations of loyal customers.
Founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1937 by the Blumkin family, Nebraska Furniture Mart became a part of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway retail group in 1983. Nebraska Furniture Mart currently operates four retail locations in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Texas. NFM also operates an Internet Retailer Top 500 website, nfm.com.
In the spring of 2019, Nebraska Furniture Mart relocated its Des Moines, Iowa store to a larger facility with a 26,000-square-foot showroom to offer more appliances, electronics and flooring from top brands. The new location brings a massively expanded inventory, custom design services, contractor sales and a drive-thru pickup for customers in the Des Moines region.
