Founded in 1963 by Gordon Hartunian, the “warehouse” concept for appliances and electronics began with a single store in Center Line, Michigan. Since that time, ABC Warehouse has grown to become Michigan’s largest appliance, TV, mattress, & furniture retailer operating 42 stores throughout Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Currently, ABC Warehouse is Michigan’s largest mattress retailer featuring all the top brands.

In 1984, ABC purchased Mickey Shorr Mobile Electronics.  Currently, Mickey Shorr operates sixteen locations providing, and installing mobile electronics in automobiles, boats, motorcyles and more!   In 1990, ABC added Hawthorne Home Appliances & Electronics, a three store chain offering a higher-end brand selection.

Despite the tremendous expansion over the years, ABC Warehouse continues with the same kind of small-family team environment with which they started some 58 years ago. ABC’s success is attributed to their dedication to low price, large selection, and strong personal customer service.
